Dear Editor:
Today is the day we need a new start.
Last year is gone and we're willing to part
with the hustle and bustle and frantic pursuit
of virus to try us and politics to boot.
There never was a good time to declare a halt.
Although there was much found to be at fault
for illness and death and crude politics
and many situations difficult to fix.
Now all we can hope for is just time out
to let our New Year try to turn us about.
Preventing more dying with inoculation
and much-needed improvement in political relations.
So let's give our new year a fighting chance
to improve life without backward glance.
Hopefully to see a stronger Democracy
and a better resistance for you and me!
