Your Opinion: Leaders and followers

Dear Editor:

I am fascinated by the noise on the radio. I hear recordings of people shouting and screaming as they storm the U.S. Capitol.

Leaders are being condemned. What about the followers? A leader is not a leader if he or she has no followers.

What can we do? Can people be trained to think for themselves?

It seems to me that people are born with a tendency to think for themselves. Are they, perhaps, trained to be followers?

Any suggestions will be appreciated.
