Dear Editor:
I refer to a July 30, 2021 article by Ildefonso Ortiz and Brandon Darby: "2nd Texas Border City Probes Catholic Charity for Releases of Migrants with COVID" (www.breitbart.com/border/2021/07/30/2nd-texas-border-city-probes-catholic-charity-for-releases-of-migrants-with-covid/). Quotes from the article: "The migrants were released from federal custody and booked at the Texas Inn in Weslaco - the same hotel chain involved with a large group of COVID-19 positive migrants in La Joya. The hotel rooms are paid for by Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley, a group that runs a migrant shelter in McAllen."
I'm writing this letter as a follow-up to my July 27 LTE: "Inundated with infected immigrants." In that letter I questioned, "what happens to the ones (illegal immigrants) who test positive?" The above article explains that. The following article I feel explains further the nefarious plot by the Marxist Biden regime to deal with the infected migrants.
The article by Kelly Riddell in the Washington Times: "Catholic Church Receives Billions from the USA, Illegal Immigration Proves Very Profitable; Catholic Church collects $1.6 billion in U.S. contracts, grants since 2012" (themillenniumreport.com/2019/06/catholic-church-receives-billions-from-the-usa-illegal-immigration-proves-very-profitable/). A quote from the article: "Catholic Charities USA, the largest charitable organization run by the church, receives about 65 percent of its annual budget from state and federal governments, making it an arm of the federal welfare state, said Brian Anderson, a researcher with the Manhattan Institute."
Could the Catholic Church be complicit in a shameful plan to assist the Biden administration to flood our nation with illegal immigrants for money with little concern for the safeguards of us citizens? Since the Catholic Charities pay for the hotel rooms for these infected illegal immigrants, one has to wonder what legal ramifications regarding any liability they may have if they are complicit in housing infected immigrants and not requiring them to be quarantined until safe to release.
It should be blatantly obvious the Marxist Democratic Party's plan is to ignore the recent increase in infection rates caused by their irresponsible actions at the border and to manage the statistical effect by requiring citizens to protect ourselves from this induced contagion by forcing masks and vaccinations on us!
