Your Opinion: Democratic blunder

Dear Editor:

Now that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have taken office, this country has gone to hell. It will keep going down as long as the Democrats have control of Washington and the bodies of government to a degree. The Democrats passed a $1.9 trillion relief package that, in my opinion, will benefit lobbyists and other special interest groups for the most part with very little going to the virus situation or to schools to reopen them.

As I said, Biden cannot force teachers to go back to the classrooms, and if I was a teacher, I would not go back into the classroom without some safety net or an agreement. Now, he wants to pass a $2 trillion infrastructure package. How does he plan on paying this back, or do they just want to pass a bad package that they have no way of knowing how they are going to pay it back? Along with the stimulus package that should have never been, this will be shouldered on the middle class. Make no mistake because big corporations are not going to pay their share. By the way, $4.36 billion of that stimulus money went to illegal aliens, how pathetic is that? Biden, in his first few months, has added $2 trillion to the national debt and is trying to add more with the infrastructure package along with the budget for 2022, which will probably be over $1.5 trillion from what I read in the newspaper. This madness has got to stop. The government is too big and needs to be drained, but it won't as long as the politicians in Washington get their pockets stuffed with special interest money.

On a sour note, you are not going to stop racism or gun violence ever so quit throwing money at something you can't control or handle. The politicians and the media fuel racism, especially if it is a Black person killed by a white officer, because if racism didn't happen, then there would be no stories to report on. So they can keep the hate and violence in America fueled. How pathetic is this? God help us all!
