Your Opinion: Insider trading allegations

Dear Editor:

I'm writing to call your readers attention to the following March 19, 2020, DailyMail.com article by Nikki Schwab: "Revealed: Four senators dumped millions in stocks while Capitol Hill was being briefed on the coronavirus threat but before markets started tanking." (www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8132245/GOP-senator-gave-dire-coronavirus-warning-heeled-constituents-Capitol-Hill-social-club.html).

Quotes from the article:

"Richard Burr R-NC, head of the Senate Intelligence Committee which was directly briefed on coronavirus, sold up to $1.7m in stock between January and February"

"Dianne Feinstein D-CA, on the same committee, sold up to $6m in stock in same period."

"Kelly Loeffler R-GA, on the Senate Health Committee, sold up to $3.1m in stock starting on the day her committee was briefed by the CDC."

"James Inhofe R-OK, sold up to 400k in stocks including real estate all on January 27."

There can be no better evidence of insider trading which has resulted in jail time for many greedy corrupt individuals. I wonder if the "deep state swamp" is going to protect these sorry individuals who have contributed to your recent diminishing IRAs and investments? These four senators are only the latest example of the many "deep state swamp creatures" who have been made millionaires, not from working in the private sector like we voters, but only from being in public office. Instead of working for us, they spend their time leveraging lobbyists for any way they can to retire in luxury. Examples of some of these "trusted public servants" who have retired or close to retirement from public office as millionaires are Bill and Hillary Clinton, Barack Hussein Obama, Joe Biden (and family), Nancy Pelosi, et al.

I guess I'm surprised that there are three Republican insider trading senators. I guess I was wrong assuming the Democrats had a monopoly on greed and corruption. Of course that explains why Trump barely gets any support from Republicans in Congress in his continuing battle to drain the swamp! Apparently there's probably as many Republican swamp creatures as Democrats in the Senate.

Would anyone want to bet on any of the four getting anything but a hand slap?
