Dear Editor:

We have just experienced the fourth explosion in the destruction of our culture! I refer to a 6/1/2020 article by Robert Kraychik: "Carrie Severino: SCOTUS LGBT Decision Will 'Create a Tsunami of New Litigation' Against Religious Groups' (www.breitbart.com/radio/2020/06/15/carrie-severino-scotus-lgbt-decision-tsunami-litigation-religious-groups/). This Supreme Court decision extends prohibitions against employment discrimination to include sexual orientation and "gender identity."

I expect now Judge Neil Gorsuch will now become the hero of the left after being the single person who will have created more havoc in our culture and courts with this horrific decision.

For you business owners and churches, how will you ever be sure when you have to fire someone for poor performance or criminal activity affecting your business growth and/or survival? All one has to say after being terminated for whatever reason that they were fired for being gay or transgender! How would you know? How can you protect yourself? You can't!

This opens the door for any anti-Christian or any person who chooses to destroy or effect revenge on any business or organization they despise by simply after the fact say they are gay or transsexual!

Judge Gorsuch is the latest example of the absolute void in our society of any logical thought as it pertains to the intent of the Constitution and to refrain from the destructive interference in our culture!

Quoting the Legal Information Institute: "While the concept of affirmative action has existed in America since the 19th century, it first appeared in its current form in President Kennedy's Executive Order 10925 (1961): 'The contractor will take affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed, and that employees are treated during employment, without regard to their race, creed, color, or national origin.'"

Think about the slippery slope created by this action to extend our clearly stated constitutional guarantee of freedom to engage in lawful private enterprise free from government interference. This executive order was the first step in the series of subsequent court decisions allowing the transformation of our society to what we see now as an increasingly uncontrollable turn toward socialism.

God Save America!
