Your Opinion: We all want peace and justice

Dear Editor:

It is great to hear that peaceful protests are now the future plan. There is a real reason "vascular neck restraint for over eight minutes" and a right for the protest. Peaceful protest, social discussions, patience and they may accomplish what they desire.

Vandalism, looting, arson, destroying business only creates hate. Thousands demonstrate, destroy, kill law enforcement. Millions watched hate and racism grow.

I remember the 1960s and 1970s and the Ferguson destruction. President Obama, A.G. Eric Holder, Gov. Jay Nixon, same as gave the okay to demonstrate and rioters to do anything they wished, including kill the cops - fry the pigs. They blamed the problem on law enforcement, too aggressive.

It is a known fact that far left radicals ship in bricks, rocks, cocktails, people, which are paid, to instigate the destruction, the closure of bridges and highways, which are not acceptable.

President Trump and the Justice Department know this and intend to put a stop to the riots and destruction.

President Trump requested - almost demanded - the governors to activate the National Guard to support law enforcement.

Citizens are planning to defund police departments. Well, stupid is as stupid does. The protest is all about peace and justice! Without law enforcement, there will be no peace, no justice, for anyone.

The news media ran protest-demonstrations 24-7. Hardly a mention of the 300 wounded, shot, killed law enforcement men and women who put their lives on the line every day. Are they not important?

Just a note to those who will listen. Most all peaceful protesters have a phone with camera. Use it! If you see someone vandalizing, looting, setting a fire, take a picture of the person or persons. Do not get personally involved, let the law handle it.

Help the cops catch the criminals. Justice for a business owner. Oh, it will feel so good. We all want peace and justice.
