Your Opinion: Whose best interests does Trump have in mind?

Dear Editor:

When asked by a reporter about the national stockpile of medical supplies, Son-in-Law-in-Chief (and somehow the real estate expert appointed by his father-in-law to handle this crisis) Jared Kushner replied that “… it’s supposed to be our stockpile … it’s not supposed to be the states.’”

When asked to reply, President Trump defended this statement by saying, “Our. Our.” He then added, “… we need it for the federal government.”

This is what happens when a pandemic is handled by folks who were born on third base and think they hit a triple. They honestly believe this stockpile of much needed medical supplies belongs to “them,” no matter how badly the states are saying they need them now.

I hope Missouri voters remember these words from the president and his son-in-law come November and vote accordingly. Whose best interests does the president have in mind? I don’t believe their “ours.”
