Dear Editor:
On Oct. 1, a local young man, 20 years of age, was arrested and charged with rape, then was put in Cole County jail without bond. The accuser's details were quoted for all to read.
On Oct. 8, the young man was released - no reason given. The charge, etc. has surely affected his entire life and future in ways we can never imagine. Whoever dropped these charges owes this person and the entire Community an explanation as to why. It's the only fair and right thing to do.
