Your Opinion: Eliminating our moral compass

Dear Editor:

The KJV Holy Bible states in Galatians 6:7-8 the following: “Be not deceived; God is not mocked for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall also of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.” This brings to mind a saying that I have used many times and it is: “We reap what we sow, we reap later than we sow, and we reap more than we sow.”

In 1962, the Supreme Court removed prayer from government schools. In 1963, it removed the Bible, and in 1980, it removed the Ten Commandments from government schools. The U.S. Supreme Court on Jan. 22, 1973, ruled (7–2) in Roe v. Wade, that abortion would be legal. As the USA, via the nine old dudes in Washington, have kicked God out of government schools and due to saying the life of the unborn child is nothing more than a pimple, is it any wonder that we have individuals thinking it is OK to kill other human beings? When the current governor of Virginia endorses infanticide and doesn’t resign in disgrace, we have a problem Houston. One of the nine old dudes even said in their response to the 1980 ruling, “If the posted copies of the Ten Commandments are to have any effect at all, it will be to induce the schoolchildren to read, meditate upon, perhaps to venerate and obey, the Commandments.” Duh. And we wonder why there are so many people killing others?

What in the world do we expect when we eliminate the only moral compass humanity has, that being our heavenly father, God himself and His son Jesus, from the public discourse? It is not any one person’s fault. It is not any politicians fault, nor you or me. The real blame falls at the feet of Lucifer, for those uninformed, that is Satan. When we as a people eliminate the only true moral compass from our daily lives, that gives Satan free rein to wreak havoc on the earth, and he has.

People, we need to get back to where we placed more emphasis on our faith, family, and friends rather than only focusing on ourselves. If we don’t, we are doomed.
