The Jefferson City School District Board of Education meeting that was scheduled for today has been rescheduled to 6 p.m. Thursday due to unexpected medical issues and scheduling conflicts among board members.

The meeting was rescheduled because these medical issues and scheduling conflicts may have prevented the board from starting with a quorum, the minimum number of members necessary to conduct business, said Stephanie Sappenfield, secretary to the Board of Education and assistant to the superintendent.

At the meeting, Deputy Superintendent Bryan McGraw and Director of Health Services Chad Sooter will give a report on the district's COVID-19 re-entry plan and case numbers, and Superintendent Larry Linthacum will give an update on outdoor sports facilities.

The meeting will be at the Miller Performing Arts Center, 501 Madison St.
