Jefferson City school board to vote on budget amendment, contracts

The Jefferson City School District Board of Education will vote Monday on whether to approve a budget amendment and contracts for five construction projects.

The board is expected to vote on:

• Two contracts with Foresight for design and bid management of roof replacements at West Elementary School and Lewis and Clark Middle School, each for $16,381;

• Two contracts with The Architects Alliance for renovation design and bid management at Moreau Heights Elementary School for $135,515 and Thorpe Gordon Elementary School for $199,485;

• A $120,000 addendum to a current contract with energy-efficiency company Navitas for renovation design and construction management at Moreau Heights and Thorpe Gordon.

The meeting will also include an update on student drug testing presented by Ehren Earleywine, director of activities, and an update on boundary lines presented by Dawn Berhorst, interim chief operating officer, as well as another report from Berhorst and reports from Superintendent Larry Linthacum and Deputy Superintendent Bryan McGraw.

The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday at the JCPS Education Center, 204 Dix Road, Jefferson City. It will be livestreamed on the JCSchools Videos YouTube page.
