Two women were arrested after a pursuit Monday night in Jefferson City.

According to Jefferson City Police Department reports, at approximately 7:40 p.m., a JCPD officer observed an unlicensed motor vehicle in the 3800 block of West Truman Boulevard. The officer turned around and prepared to perform a traffic stop. The unlicensed vehicle reportedly made an illegal lane change across two lanes of traffic to travel westbound onto U.S. 50.

The officer attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver, identified as Tiffany Lasley, failed to yield and accelerated westbound on 50.

The pursuit traveled for approximately seven miles until authorities decided to terminate the chase. After the pursuit was terminated, the officer saw Lasley's vehicle disabled at 50 and Shady Acres Road. The vehicle appeared to be disabled due to striking a road sign and trash can.

Lasley was taken into custody and was issued three citations. She is also facing additional charges of delivery of a controlled substance, resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance.

The female passenger in the vehicle was taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance. Authorities did not identify her, but said she is currently on pre-trial release for multiple pending charges and a revocation of bond was requested.
