A Jefferson City woman has been charged with burglarizing a Cole County business.

Jerry Schulte, 47, is charged with one count of second-degree burglary.

A Cole County Sheriff's Department probable cause statement states the incident occurred May 1 at Speedy B's on Pleasant Hill Road.

Authorities claim Schulte used a key she had received from an employee. While at the business, Schulte allegedly kicked in the office door and stole the safe containing money from the registers and gaming machines at the business.

Surveillance video from the store allegedly showed Schulte committing the crime and investigators stated she admitted to breaking into the business during an interview.
