River Oak Christian Academy is holding its first virtual fundraiser at 7 p.m. Friday.

The Raise and Praise fundraising event will be livestreamed and will include entertainment, a silent auction and more.

Normally held in person, the Jefferson City school's annual spring fundraising event is its largest annual fundraiser and typically raises $50,000 or more, River Oak Christian Academy Treasurer Carol Eighmey said.

This year, the goal is to raise $70,000.

River Oak is partnering with Sweet Smoke BBQ to provide meals for the event. River Oak volunteers will bring participants' meal to their cars from the Sweet Smoke BBQ restaurant at Capital Mall. Meals will be ready for pick-up from 4-6 p.m. the night of the event. All meal proceeds will go directly to River Oak.

To reserve a ticket, purchase a Sweet Smoke BBQ meal, purchase a raffle ticket, make a donation or bid on auction items, visit one.bidpal.net/riveroakraiseandpraise.

Meal and raffle ticket sales close 9 a.m. Monday.

Donations can also be mailed to River Oak Christian Academy at 919 Wildwood Drive, Jefferson City, MO 65109.
