The Missouri State Museum and the Daniel Boone Regional Library will offer a Missouri Trailblazers virtual program featuring author Laura Ingalls Wilder at 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Even before writing her first "Little House" book, Wilder was making contributions to educational and inspirational literature for Missouri farm folks, according to a museum news release.

Her life as a child, teenager and adult had challenges that seemed insurmountable — just like challenges faced in 2020 and 2021 with the unexpected pandemic.

Adults and teens are invited to attend. Participants must register at events.dbrl.org/event/5102675.

This program is a part of a monthly series in honor of Missouri's bicentennial, highlighting Missouri's most significant trailblazers who have had an impact on our culture through major events, leadership, innovation and more.

For more information, call the Missouri State Museum at 573-751-2854.
