Man charged in Osage County murder

A Chamois man was arrested Sunday in connection with a double slaying at a residence north of Linn.

According to Osage County Sheriff's Department reports, around noon Saturday, deputies responded to a report of two deceased people. The victims were later identified as Leonard Gerloff, 59 and Pauline Gerloff, 56, both of Chamois.

An investigation by the sheriff's office and the Missouri Highway Patrol, Division of Drug and Crime Control, determined both victims died of gunshot wounds.

The investigation led authorities to a Chamois man, Warren Taylor, 62. Taylor was taken into custody around 10 p.m. Saturday and later charged with two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of armed criminal action. He is being held without bond.
