A Moberly man has been charged after reportedly being found with a large amount of marijuana after a traffic stop in Cole County.
The Cole County Sheriff's Department stopped a car on U.S. 54 at Goeller Road for speeding about 1:30 a.m. July 15, according to a Sheriff's Department report. As a result of the stop, 14.5 pounds of marijuana and 142 grams of marijuana wax were seized.
The driver, Johnathon Fischer, 21, was charged with delivery of a controlled substance.
The marijuana was found in the trunk of the vehicle, authorities said, inside a large trash bag.
