JCMG offering limited COVID-19 vaccines to patients 65 and older

Jefferson City Medical Group has been authorized to offer the COVID-19 vaccination to patients who are 65 and older, the physicians’ group announced Wednesday.

JCMG will hold COVID vaccine clinic events as soon as vaccine doses are available, according to a news release.

Qualifying JCMG patients who wish to receive the vaccine must sign up for JCMG’s COVID Vaccine Communications List. JCMG staff members are scheduling patients into upcoming vaccine clinics from this list.

To sign up for the JCMG Vaccine Communication list, patients may complete a registration at JCMG.org/COVID. Staff can assist if patients need help or who do not have internet capabilities.

JCMG will not offer the vaccine to patients who walk in or during a doctor’s visit, even if they meet the qualifying criteria.

People who are not established patients with JCMG will need to call the Cole County Health Department or their physician outside of JCMG. Patients and members of the community may estimate when they will qualify to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by visiting covidvaccine.mo.gov.
