Jefferson City man accused of driving while intoxicated

A Jefferson City man was arrested after a one vehicle crash early Thursday morning in Cole County.

The Missouri Highway Patrol reports Travis Verslues, 42, was arrested for felony DWI - persistent offender, driving while suspended and failing to drive on the right half of the road.

The crash occurred at 12:40 a.m. on Lookout Trail at Luxury Lane.

Verslues failed to negotiate a curve, went off the left side of the road and struck a rock bluff. He was not wearing a seat belt and was taken to Capital Region Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
