Head downtown this weekend to sample local beer and wine while hitting the shops.
Sponsored by the Downtown Jefferson City Association and River City Florist, the Sip N' Shop event pairs participating businesses with a brewery, winery or distillery to offer shoppers a spirited experience.
Tickets are still available for Saturday's event, which runs 3-7 p.m. downtown; they can be purchased for $15 at www.downtownjeffersoncity.com.
Tickets will be in the form of a wine glass, which can be picked up at the check-in station Saturday afternoon in front of Central Bank on Madison Street.
Participating stores and their paired beverage company include: American Shoe (Broadway Brewery), Ana Marie's (Dogmaster Distillery), BarVino (Last Flight Brewery), Carrie's Hallmark (St. James Winery & Public House Brewery), Downtown Book & Toy (Black Smith Distillery), River City Florist, The Snob Shop (White Mule Winery), Cork & Board (Logboat and Waves Cider), Encore (Les Bourgeois), Unique Creations Candle Bar (Bur Oak Brewery), Spectators, Cat Cafe (Mother's Brewery) and Bones.
