Vitae Foundation taps former congressman for keynote address

A Fox News contributor and former congressman will be the Vitae Foundation's keynote speaker during its 29th annual Jefferson City pro-life events May 4.

Following the event's custom, Jason Chaffetz will speak at the foundation's two programs that day - a luncheon at noon and dinner at 6:30 p.m. The events are to be at the Capitol Plaza Hotel, 415 W. McCarty St., and hosted by Don and Ruth Ann Schnieders.

Utah voters elected Chaffetz to Congress in 2008. He rose to become chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. He chose not to run for re-election in 2018.

The annual event raises money to promote a culture of life and to help educate women facing unplanned pregnancies about local resources available to help them make a life-affirming decision, a Vitae news release states.

Dinner registration is $100 per person ($70 is tax deductible) and luncheon registration is $50 per person ($20 tax deductible). Register by calling 573-634-4316. Reservations are also accepted at www.vitaefoundation.org/events.
