A 17-year-old Jefferson City resident who Jefferson City police had asked the public to be on the lookout for was found safe Thursday afternoon.
In a brief statement from the Jefferson City Police Department, authorities announced they had successfully contacted Thomas Kesete and that he was safe and had left on his own accord. No other information was released.
Kesete hadn't been seen by family since Saturday, and they told police that was unusual behavior for him.
Kesete was considered an adult, and authorities said he had the right to not make his location known.
