One injured in 3-car accident

One person was were injured in a three-vehicle crash Tuesday evening in Jefferson City.

According to Jefferson City Police Department reports, the crash occurred at 5:17 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of the 700 block of U.S. 50 West.

A vehicle driven by Jennifer Kingsley, 36, of Holts Summit, failed to stop and ran into the rear of two stopped vehicles. They were driven by Eric Biesemeyer, 51, of Jefferson City, and Timothy Boggs, 52, of Holts Summit.

Kingsley was treated for serious injuries and was transported to a hospital in Columbia for treatment. She was not wearing a seat belt. Biesemeyer and Boggs had no reported injuries.
