Challenger, incumbent win seats on Blair Oaks board

Logan Gratz and Tim Luebbering were elected for three-year terms on the Blair Oaks Board of Education in Tuesday's election.

Gratz received 396 votes (35.64 percent), Luebbering received 380 votes (34.20 percent) and Dale Verslues received 333 votes (29.97 percent).

There were 1,111 votes cast in the election, including two for write-in candidates.

Gratz, of Wardsville, is a real estate agent and auctioneer. This will be his first term on the board.

"I look forward to the opportunity to serve and help continue the success the schools have and continue the new high school," Gratz said.

Luebbering, of Wardsville, is the current board treasurer and human resources manager for the Osage County R-3 School District. This will be his second term on the board.

Luebbering said he's excited to finish the new high school and stay on track to get through the pandemic.

"I want to thank all the voters for trusting me to be on the school board," he said.
