This Saturday is Cub Scout Field Day in Cole County, and this year's event will include some Halloween activities.

This free event will take place 8:30 a.m.-noon at Taos Country Side Park, 4909 Country Side Park Road.

Boys and girls in kindergarten- through fifth-grade who are interested in scouting along with current Cub Scouts are invited to attend.

Scheduled activities include archery, BB guns, fishing, cub mobile and invention lab, as well as information on campfire building and safety.

Costumes are encouraged, and participants need to check in the day of the event to fill out a COVID-19 form and a release to participate in the shooting sports.
