LAKE OZARK, Mo. - U.S. 54 traffic will be impacted in Lake Ozark as a contractor working for the Missouri Department of Transportation begins blasting rock to make way for the construction of a new eastbound U.S. 54 bridge this week.

In order for crews to safely perform the blasting, all U.S. 54 traffic near the interchange will be stopped around 2 p.m. Monday for up to 10 minutes.

This work is part of the future interchange and roundabouts along U.S. 54, Business 54 and Miller County Route W, according to a MoDOT news release.

Speed limits are reduced through the work zone. Motorists in the area are asked to plan for delays, slow down, avoid distractions and watch for crews in work zones.

This work is weather permitting and could be delayed.
