A Vienna man has been charged with felony resisting arrest for his alleged involvement in a chase with authorities on Saturday.

Jacob Kidwell, 38, is also charged with a misdemeanor count of driving while revoked.

Officers tried to stop Kidwell in the 600 block of U.S. 50 West for a lane violation, according to a Jefferson City Police Department probable cause statement.

The pursuit reportedly lasted more than 30 minutes and reached speeds over 95 mph.

At one point, Kidwell lost control of his vehicle and went off the road but came back. He allegedly nearly hit two patrol vehicles when backing his vehicle during the pursuit.

Near the 10500 block of Route H, a passenger in Kidwell's vehicle threw out a plastic bag containing drug paraphernalia.

After turning onto Old River Road, a dead-end gravel road, Kidwelll reportedly drove the vehicle into a pavilion. As officers approached Kidwell, he allegedly attempted to back the vehicle out and almost stuck a police car.
