Police arrested a wanted man and a woman accused of being his accomplice Sunday after spotting the fugitive's car parked outside a Jefferson City hotel.

Officers on patrol at Days Inn on Jefferson Street located the vehicle, which was co-registered to a man with numerous outstanding warrants and appeared to have fresh bullet holes, according to a news release from the Jefferson City Police Department.

Police contacted the woman, who co-owns the vehicle, who was inside a room at the hotel. Officers also observed a man looking out the window who matched the general description of the wanted subject. The officers spoke to both subjects through the door and confirmed the identity of both.

After extended negotiations, the man surrendered and was taken into custody for the warrants for his arrest.

Police say Jonathan Adams, 27, of Miller County, was arrested for felony resisting arrest and felony possession of a controlled substance. Adams is also wanted for several recent pursuits from the Miller County area, according to authorities there.

The woman, whose name was not immediately released, was taken into custody for hindering prosecution. During questioning, she allegedly admitted she had assisted Adams in evading law enforcement and was aware of his multiple outstanding warrants. She was taken to the Cole County Jail to await charges from the county prosecutor.
