Business 54 in Lake Ozark to close for roundabout construction

LAKE OZARK - Traffic will be impacted next week as the construction of a new interchange and several roundabouts continues along U.S. 54, Business 54 and Route W in Miller County.

The project contractor, working for the Missouri Department of Transportation, will begin tying in a new roundabout at the Business 54 intersection with Wilmore Lane and the interchange connector road Monday, according to a MoDOT news release.

This work will require Business 54 to be closed to traffic between Mount Carmel Baptist Church and the southern end of Bagnell Dam through Friday.

Drivers will be able to access Route W, Wilmore Lane and Lakeside Office Plaza businesses from U.S. 54. Missouri 242 can be used to access the southern end of Bagnell Dam Boulevard, and River Road can be used to access Union Electric Road. Signs are in place to alert travelers of these closures.

Construction of the new U.S. 54 interchange at Route W and Osage Hills Road continues as well. A single westbound lane is closed to traffic and is expected to remain closed for the next two weeks in order for crews to tie in an interchange ramp and resurface the roadway.

Speed limits are reduced through the work zone.

This work is weather permitting and could be delayed.
