Moniteau County narcotics investigation yields 4 arrests

Four Mid-Missouri residents were arrested last week after a narcotics investigation in Moniteau County.

Moniteau County Sheriff's Office deputies and Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force investigators reportedly went to a residence in the 31000 block of Route K in reference to an ongoing narcotics investigation on Nov. 20.

Executing a search warrant, authorities said, they recovered the following items from the property: approximately 176 grams of marijuana, 1 gram of fentanyl, 1.5 grams of a fentanyl/methamphetamine mixture, 9 grams of methamphetamine, eight types of prescription medication with a total pill count of more than 200, and two pistols.

The following people were arrested:

Jacob Abbott, of Holts Summit, on a no-bond warrant from Cole County for stealing.

Edward Sims, of Russellville, on a no-bond warrant from Cole County, facing three counts of possession of a controlled substance as a result of the narcotics investigation, for which his bond was set at $50,000.

Jeffery Lane Abbott Jr., of Jefferson City, is charged with three counts of delivery of a controlled substance and one count of unlawful possession of a firearm. He is on probation/parole for voluntary manslaughter, and his bond was set at $100,000. Abbott was taken into custody Nov. 21 by the Jefferson City Police Department.

Randy Hollandsworth, of Jefferson City, is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of unlawful possession of a firearm. He is on probation/parole for distribution of a controlled substance, and his bond was set at $50,000.
