If you have a sweater with R2-D2 woven into the pattern, a crewneck sporting snowflakes, a cardigan with twinkling lights or any other holiday theme, put it on and head outside.
Special Olympics Missouri is hosting the Ugly Sweater Hustle - a chance to raise money for the nonprofit and get some much-needed exercise.
The hustle is a virtual event that allows people to choose how far they'll walk, run or roll between Dec. 7-12, while wearing their best Christmas sweater.
Register through Dec. 12 at somo.rallyup.com/uglysweaterhustle. Registration costs $65 for a family or $35 for an individual.
The distance participants choose to go is up to them. After registering, people are encouraged to challenge friends and family to join the hustle, no matter where they are.
Rewards include an Ugly Sweater Hustle medal.
During your hustle, snap some photographs of yourself. And when you're done, using the hashtag #UglySweaterHustle, post them to the SOMO social media pages on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. Photos must be posted by Dec. 13 to be part of the contest.
Wearers of the winning sweaters, as chosen by a special committee, will receive the Ugly Sweater Trophy.
