Jefferson City's 2020 Spring Clean Up event, which was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, has been rescheduled for this fall.
Residents within the Jefferson City limits will be able to set bulky items out on their curbs for pickup.
Pickup will be Sept. 28 for those living west of U.S. 54 and Oct. 5 for those east of U.S. 54, according to a news release from the city.
Items should be placed on the curb the Sunday before pickup is scheduled.
Items that will be picked up include furniture, large bulky items that two people can easily pick up, televisions, microwaves, tied bundles of scrap metal under 4 feet and mattresses.
Items that will not be picked up include household trash, bags or boxes of debris, loose piles of material of any type, remodeling materials, appliances, car parts, tires, yard waste, lumber or guttering over 4 feet, rocks, bricks, concrete, household hazardous waste, flammable materials, and acid batteries.
Trash and recycling carts will be picked up on normal collection days. All small items that fit inside the trash carts must be placed inside them.
Property owners are responsible for cleaning up any items left behind by Republic Services.
Republic Services offers bulky item pickup any time during the year for a fee.
