A Jefferson City man has been charged with first-degree rape for an incident that allegedly occurred Wednesday night.

Lloyd Ridler, 84, is also charged with first-degree sodomy.

Officers were called Thursday to the 1400 block of St. Mary's Boulevard for a report of a sexual offense, according to a Jefferson City Police Department probable cause statement.

A woman claimed Ridler, whom she rented a room from, had sexually attacked her using two different consumable products.

The woman claimed she lost consciousness, and when she woke up and attempted to get dressed, Ridler entered the room where she was and again sexually assaulted her.

Officers obtained a warrant to search Ridler's home, and when they arrived, Ridler allegedly tried to flee but was detained. Officers allegedly found consumable products the woman described as being used during the attacks.
