Authorities are reporting a second case of COVID-19 coronavirus infection has been confirmed in Osage County.

Osage County reported its first confirmed case Sunday. Notice of the second case was posted Tuesday morning on the Facebook page of the Osage County Emergency Operations Center.

The post says about the second case: "This is a contact to the 1st case, both individuals still contained." It also notes that results from two other cases are "pending."

Officials say they will release more information later today.

Meanwhile, State Technical College of Missouri in Linn has barred non-essential personnel from traveling from Cole County to the school's Osage County campus, after Cole County enacted a stay-at-home order last week. Osage County shares its western border with Cole County.
