Out of an abundance of caution regarding the coronavirus or COVID-19, the GoMidMO Expo, sponsored by the News Tribune and the Jefferson City Convention and Visitors Bureau, that was scheduled for this Saturday has been postponed.
Officials from both the News Tribune and CVB consulted with each other on Thursday morning and CVB officials advised that other CVB's across the state reported similar events were being canceled due to precautions related to the coronavirus.
The free event was meant to feature Mid-Missouri organizations and businesses that offer entertainment and activities. About 25 vendors were expected to take part.
The expo will be rescheduled at a later date yet to be announced.
