Holts Summit man charged with drug trafficking

A Holts Summit man faces charges after drugs were reportedly located in his vehicle.

Adam Redmon was charged with second-degree drug trafficking.

A probable cause statement from the Jefferson City Police Department said officers located Redmon slumped over the wheel of a car Monday evening in the parking lot of Capital Mall at 3600 Country Club Drive. Redmon was seen by emergency medical personnel and was released.

Police said they observed a metal spoon wrapped in plastic and a small orange container with a black substance inside. The substance field-tested positive for heroin and fentanyl, and weighed in at around 0.6 grams.

Redmon allegedly admitted the substance was heroin and said he had just used it in the vehicle.
