Two hurt in Miller County motorcycle wreck

Two Kaiser residents were hurt after crashing their motorcycle early Thursday morning in Miller County.

The Missouri Highway Patrol reported the crash occurred around 2:20 a.m. at Bagnell Dam.

Tretch Lawrence, 44, failed to negotiate a curve, striking the curb and ejecting the driver and his passenger, Carrie Lawrence, 43, off their motorcycle.

Carrie was wearing a helmet and was taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach for treatment of moderate injuries. Tretch, who was not wearing a helmet, was airlifted to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment of serious injuries.

A patrol arrest report indicated Tretch was accused of DWI persistent offender, failure to maintain the right half of the road, not having insurance, driving a motorcycle without a helmet and failure to register a motor vehicle.
