East High Street in Jefferson City will be closed between Riverside and Vetter Lane beginning at 8 a.m. today as Missouri American Water Company conducts water line work.
Crews expect to reopen the road late Friday, weather permitting.
During the closure, at least one-way access to and from the Gordon cul-de-sac will be maintained at all times, and access to East Schools' driveway will be maintained from Riverside.
Due to construction, other closures along East High Street, between Locust and East McCarty streets, will occur through the end of the summer. Road closed and detour signs will be posted and moved with the active work zones.
