A Jefferson City man has been charged in connection with a robbery that occurred early Friday morning.

Tarique Shelton, 20, is charged with accessory to first-degree robbery and armed criminal action.

The alleged victim and a witness claimed Shelton assaulted the victim and robbed them of a firearm, cash and multiple electronics around 1 a.m. at a residence in the 100 block of North Ventura Avenue, according to a Jefferson City Police Department probable cause statement.
