An Iberia man was killed Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Miller County.

Missouri Highway Patrol reported the crash occurred at 10 a.m. at Missouri 42 and Route BB.

Thomas Ciavarella, 45, was traveling west on BB, and a vehicle driven by Brandon Whittle, 44, of Brumley, was going east on 42.

Ciavarella failed to yield to Whittle while turning left onto 42 and pulled in front of Whittle.

After the collision, both vehicles skidded off the left side of road. Ciavarella's vehicle then collided with a mailbox.

Ciavarella was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt. Whittle had no reported injuries.
