2 injured in Monday accident

The Missouri Highway Patrol, Cole County Fire Protection District and Cole County Sheriff's Department responded Monday to the scene of a motor vehicle collision on eastbound U.S. 54 in Brazito. The accident included at least two vehicles.

Two people were injured Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Cole County.

Missouri Highway Patrol reports show the crash occurred at 12:25 p.m. on Eastbound U.S. 54, just west of Route E.

Hannah Cotten, 29, of Eldon, lost control of her vehicle, crossed through the median, and struck a vehicle driven by Erin Price, 40, of Camdenton, head-on.

Cotten was treated for serious injuries while Price was treated for minor injuries. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.

Authorities closed down this area of 54 for about an hour while they cleared the accident scene.
