Jefferson City to stop collecting tornado debris

Jefferson City's vegetative debris drop-off site, put in operation after the May 22 tornado, is shutting down Saturday.

The site at 2619 North Shamrock Road will close at 6 p.m. Saturday, city officials said

City public works staff also will discontinue removing any remaining wind-blown debris caused by the tornado.
