The Food Bank for Central & Northeast Missouri will hold a temporary mobile food pantry distribution from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday at the Boys & Girls Club of Jefferson City, 1105 Lafayette St.

Volunteers will distribute fresh produce, ready-to-eat , dairy products, bottled water and disaster relief boxes to people affected by severe weather or anyone in need, according to a news release from the Food Bank.

Identification or proof of residency will not be required to receive food.

The Food Bank received 1,440 disaster relief boxes from Feeding America to distribute to people affected by severe weather. The boxes contain food that does not need refrigeration, including shelf-stable milk, boxes of pasta, canned meals and peanut butter.

Food may be picked up by any person to deliver to someone in need who does not have access to transportation or is unable to attend.

The Food Bank's Cole County mobile pantry distributes food regularly at Boys & Girls Club of Jefferson City from 4-6 p.m. on the third Wednesday of every month, at Little Explorers Discovery Center from 10 a.m.-noon on the first Saturday of the month, at Capital West Christian Church from 9-11 a.m. on the third Saturday of the month, at the Jefferson City YMCA's Firley location from 3:30-5:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month at Trinity Lutheran Church in Russellville from 1:30-3:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month, and at St. Martin Catholic Church in St. Martins from 4-6 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of the month.

The monthly distribution at the Firley YMCA will not be affected by the YMCA's temporary closure due to tornado damage, Food Bank Communication and Marketing Coordinator Seth Wolfmeyer told the News Tribune on Wednesday.
