Fire destroyed a detached garage at a Cole County residence this morning.
Firefighters from the Russellville Lohman Fire Protection District responded around 4:17 a.m. to the blaze at 8415 Route AA, according to Fire Chief Michael Ott. He said the burning building was "already on the ground" when they arrived.
No one was hurt. The cause of the fire is unknown but not believed to be suspicious, Ott said.
Firefighters finished at the scene around 6:30 a.m. The Cole County Fire Protection District assisted with mutual aid.
