HOLTS SUMMIT - The Dos Primos Mexico Restaurant in Holts Summit was damaged in a fire Monday morning, according to the Holts Summit Fire Protection District.
HSFPD units were called at 4:30 a.m. to Dos Primos at 130 Weststar Drive. Firefighters saw heavy smoke coming through the roof at the building's rear and began an aggressive attack, containing the fire in the kitchen area. The majority of the structure was saved, according to a HSFPD news release.
The Missouri State Fire Marshal's office was contacted to investigate the fire's cause and determined it had stemmed from manufacturing electrical equipment.
Five fire vehicles and 16 firefighters responded to the scene. The New Bloomfield Fire Protection District, Holts Summit Police Department, Missouri Highway Patrol and Callaway Ambulance District provided mutual aid.
