The Jamestown Board of Education approved the 2019 property tax levy Aug. 22, Superintendent Gretchen Guitard said.
At a public hearing, the board presented the estimated 2019-20 real estate and personal property tax to total $17,834,699. The 2018-19 total was $17,075,794.
The personal property tax rate was set at $4.65 per $100 assessed valuation, Guitard said.
The board approved placing $3.71 to the incidental fund and 90 cents to the capital projects fund.
The property tax revenue budgeted for those funds is $671,120 and $158,728, respectively.
