Terry D. and Mechelle L. Matthews, both of California, were injured Sunday night in Moniteau County when two pick-up trucks collided.

At about 7:30 p.m. on Lookout Trail at the Highway 50 Connector, a northbound 2016 Chevrolet Colorado driven by Carl E. Ziehmer, 75, also of California, attempted to make a left turn and pulled into the path of the eastbound 2001 Dodge Dakota driven by Terry, 59.

Ziehmer was wearing a seat belt and was not injured. Mechelle, 53, was wearing a seat belt and sustained minor injuries. Terry was not wearing a seat belt and had moderate injuries.

Both of the Matthews were taken by ambulance to a local hospital.

The Chevrolet truck had extensive damage, and the Dodge was totaled.
