People from around the state plan to attend Missouri's "Americans for America" rally Saturday in conjunction with other nationwide Second Amendment rights rallies.

About 100 people are expected to attend the rally at the Missouri State Capitol, according to a Capitol event permit. The National Constitutional Coalition of Patriotic Americans will host the rally from 1-4 p.m. Saturday as part of a nationwide event.

Sean Neumann, a Missouri spokesperson for the NCCPA, said he plans to have speakers at the event but on Thursday was still finalizing who those speakers would be.

People who have valid concealed-carry permits and photo identification can carry guns in the Capitol, said Mike O'Connell, communications director for the Missouri Department of Public Safety. Concealed-carry permit holders cannot carry concealed firearms on the chamber floor of the Missouri House of Representatives or Missouri Senate, in the House or Senate galleries, or in legislative meeting rooms.

This rule is not specific for this rally, O'Connell noted.

Attendees will not be allowed to open carry, Neumann said.
