Fire twice burns Osage City home

Firefighters returned to the scene of a Saturday fire in an Osage City trailer home to fight a second blaze early Sunday.

Members of the Osage Fire Protection District were called around 12:30 a.m. to 9206 Osage High Street, where the trailer was fully engulfed in flames. A nearby vehicle and shed also had caught fire.

They cleared the scene around 2:40 a.m.

The American Red Cross reports it is providing assistance to a Cole County man after fire damaged his home.

Units from the Osage Fire Protection District responded Saturday afternoon to the residence in the 9200 block of Osage High Street in Osage City. No injuries were reported.

Local Red Cross volunteers met with the resident to provide emergency assistance and recovery planning.
